Tips:

All enemies have intelligence and are unlikely to be fooled
more than once. Vary your approach, and use combination
attacks whenever possible.

Potions and chests may contain items that assist you, such as
health or armor. Some potions and chests, however, may contain
poison, explosives, or other traps.

The game is dynamic. Enemies wander around during the course of
play. Just because you cleared a previous room or area doesn't
mean that it is empty now.

Some items may be used in the solution of puzzles. Look for books,
keys, and other non-weapon items.

Good Luck!
